If you have never had custom paints made, there are just a few things you need to know. The Guide Painters can only fill/refill custom cans, they can’t refill the small vendo cans, nor can they do direct paint. If you need an item direct painted please contact a Caretaker.
Basic Guidelines
- Custom paint cans are filled in Magical Paints. If there is a Guide Painter on duty, you will be able to pass through the gates, then go right to get to the custom paint room. If there is no Guide Painter on duty, you can page the on-duty Guide to see if a floater is available, or have them post a request for you.
- There can only be one avatar down with the Guide Painter, so if you enter the room as a ghost, please wait your turn.
- Once you are down, put your paint can on the floor and ESP your paint codes to the Guide Painter.
- When your can is filled, check that the paint is correct BEFORE leaving. If the paint is not correct, it can’t be fixed if you leave and come back.
- There is a limit of 5 cans per avatar at one time. If no one else is waiting to have cans filled, the Guide Painter may do more than that for you at their discretion.
- Most of the time the Guide Painters are more than happy to assist you with paint codes, however if there are others waiting to have cans filled you may have to wait. Also please respect the fact that due to time constraints or other reasons the Guide Painter may not be able to do a code for you at that time.
- There are 3 types of cans that can be filled, head, body and turf. Each of these comes in 4 spray, 100 spray or 200 spray amounts. The head and body cans are available just outside the custom paint room and in the Magical Paints Lounge - one locale to the left when you enter Magical Paints. Turf cans are available in the Turf Furnishings Mega Store on the 3rd floor. Make sure you are buying the proper can for what you want to paint as they all look the same.
- If you have a can that you had filled previously and it is empty, you can bring it to the Custom Paint room and it can be refilled with the same colors.
