Solar One, the City's first solar-powered "Green Energy, Arts, and Education Center," inspires New Yorkers to become environmentally responsible city dwellers. They run educational classes, lecture series, arts performances and more year-round from their site on the East River.

The Solar1 building is about the size of a studio or 1-bedroom apartment, but it packs plenty of green features into a small space. Based on these examples, any home or apartment can become "greener," even without solar panels.

Come learn about some basic ways you can make your living space more environmentally friendly on June 5th at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Time.
