Description

Whether novice, intermediate or expert
you can enter this contest by submitting a
webpage telling us a little about you. Also
include a little about zones in it.

These are a few examples of items you can
share on your pages.

Likes, dislikes, collections, kids, etc.
Let us get to know you!!

 

Instructions

Each entry will be judged in the category entered.
The entries must be within TOS (PG-13).
There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize in
each category so be sure to check the category
that best fits you. You may only enter once.

    When sending your entries be sure to include the following:

    1. Avatar Name
    2. VZones world you belong to
    3. Entry about NewHorizone or Dreamscape?
    4. Entry Level (Web Walker, Web Surfer, Web Zoner)

When your page is all finished and you are ready to enter, click the "Click here to enter" button at the top of the page.

Members will have the opportunity to see all the pages sent in. There will be 1st , 2nd and 3rd place winners in 3 categories.


Categories

  • Web Walker : People who are just starting to learn web pages and web design. They may have made some pages using geocities, another design tool, or a friend's help; however, they are still learning the basics. They are able to make a simple page but have not been doing it for a long time.
  • Web Surfer: People who have had some experience making pages for their shops, or in-world games, etc. They may have used Homestead, Angelfire, or another engine slightly more advanced than those of a Web Walker. They may know how to create buttons and know some graphic design and my know some basic HTML or DHTML coding. They are able to implement a page in a creative, interesting way. These folks are comfortable with web pages and know some web design.
  • Web Zoner: People who have a great deal of knowledge about web pages and web dcesign, either by experience or by profession. they know advanced web design techniques, can hand script a page, or use advanced programs to create a page of professional caliber. Web Zoners will typically have several years of web design and web page experience and are very comfortable creating web sites.

NOTE: While these category descriptions give a basic outline of the different levels, each person muct choose the level THEY are most comfortable in. Some members may wish to enter 2 or 3 times as a Web Walker until they are more confident. Others may wish to zoom right along to Web Zoner. The key for the Vzones Web Contests is to have fun, explore and expand abilities, enjoy learning new things and new things about others.

The contest is judged by content, sticking to the theme, and creativeness. The 3 categories were set up for fairness in judging. It would not be fair to compare someone who has no experience but wants to enter to someone who is very experienced.

Please pick your category carefully. Once you have entered as a Surfer or Zoner, you cannot go back to one of the easier levels as this would not be fair to the others entering the contest.
