Prize Distribution and Clarification
  1. Acolyte Prizes are provided to sponsored hosts with regularly scheduled games reflected on the games calendar. Each prize set is engraved with the dates these prizes are to be used and will include 4 main prizes: one wearable, one container, one plushie/animal, and one activated knickknack.  Additionally, each prize set will include 6 doorprize level items.

  1. Acolyte Event Prize Packs are provided to sponsored hosts participating in Event Games, who request prizes to supplement their Event Prizes.  Acolyte Event Prize Packs consist of ten doorprize level items, and exclude the 4 main prizes and weekly prizes.  The prizes in Event Prize Packs do not change throughout any given month.  All regularly scheduled games reflected on the daily calendar, which are also on any Event Games calendar, will utilize their normal Acolyte and Weekly Prizes, in addition to Event Prizes.

  1. Acolyte Weekly Prizes are prizes provided to sponsored hosts with regularly scheduled games reflected on the games calendar.  These are additional prizes, frequently (but not always) available, and are provided in addition to the regular boxed sets.  Weekly Prizes become available between Friday and Sunday of each week, and may be introduced in games, anytime between Friday and Sunday of each week.

  1. Acolyte Prizes should be utilized according to the dates on the boxes.  Prize boxes dated for future weeks should NOT be introduced in games until the week noted on the box has been reached.

  1. Hosts, after consulting with their Sponsor, may opt to include older prize type items with their current mix of prizes, however, hosts MUST utilize the 4 Main Prizes and any weekly prizes for the week they are hosting.  Only Doorprize level items may be swapped for older items.

  1. There is no minimum player requirement for Daily, Non-event games. If your game can be hosted with a few players who show up, it is okay to host for them.  Prize distribution should be consistent with the number of players you have and the type of game you are hosting. (Note:  There is a minimum player procedure for Event Games) Event Rules.

  1. There are various methods used in awarding prizes. Please keep the following in mind:
  • If the host randomly chooses which item to award to a player, that choice must be made and announced prior to a player winning. It is not acceptable for a host to chose and award a prize from their pocket after a player has already won.
  • If the order of prize distribution has been decided prior to the game, that order should be announced prior to the game, however it is not necessary to do this if you are announcing the prize prior to each win.
  • If allowing players to chose from a list or set of prizes, this should be announced before the game.
  • If using box picks, the host must use random boxes and announce that this is the method which will be used prior to the game.
  • It is expected that whatever method the host uses to award prizes, that method is known to players at the start of the game, and no unfair advantages will be provided to any member in order to secure a more desired prize.
  1. When hosting a game which awards a specific prize each round, if a player is called down to play and does not play that round for any reason, they are to be considered "out" and are not to be called down during a later round. It is not fair to other members when a player asks the host to 'skip' the round because they do not desire the prize currently being offered. This defeats the purpose of a random or regular list caller. The same rule applies to raffles, however the member may participate in subsequent rounds provided that all other members on the list have won and the host has cleared the 'already won' list so all registered members are eligible to win again.

  1. Games On Hold indicate no promise of a game, therefore, these games will not allow for “Substitute” Hosts.  However, sponsored hosts may request an Acolyte Prize set to host an impromptu game during the same time slot as a game on hold.  Weekly Prizes are not provided for impromptu games, they are reserved for scheduled active games reflected on the daily calendar.

  1. If a host doesn't make their scheduled game, a sponsored host may sub for them. If you sub a game you will be eligible for a prize pack and a weekly prize if applicable.

  1. Any issues, concerns, or comments, regarding a host or their game, should be directed to their Sponsor, using the Email List found on the Main Daily Calendar Page.
