So what is it that those cts actually do iw?

Today, we got the story of three Caretakers Sammy, Pyewacket and Witchy.

So…. How long have you all been caretakers in NewHorizones?

Caretaker Sammy… Almost two weeks now.

Caretaker Pyewacket… Seven months.

Senior Caretaker Witchy … Two years.

Why did you want to become a Caretaker?

General consensus amongst the CTs is that they all do it because they love NH and they want to be part of making things work within the community as best as they can. It is not because we are a bunch of power hungry maniacs who want to wreak havoc on the world we come to, to relax and enjoy ourselves and each other.

(Admittedly they also gave me some loony answers but it does pay to have a sense of humor if you are going to take being a ct seriously.)

Amongst the less serious answers… it’s a chance to irritate Gilbie, hang people on the walls, and paint me pink.

What is it that you do as CTs, besides the body changing and direct paint that we do see you doing?

Needless to say they all started talking at the same time, as they usually do. Answers vary from painting the items that end up in the vendos, (hey, someone has to do that!), building the new locales (you didn’t think those just appeared out of nowhere did you?), to implementing the turf hunts and quests that are thought up by event hosts (yeah, Pye is ducking being responsible for the evilness, she just does as she’s told, :p), they take care of planning and implementing changes within NH, they train new CTs and pass along what they themselves have learned, they don’t just show up a couple of hours a week to change bodies, do some direct painting, exchange host tickets and monthly coupons.

What is your favorite part of being a ct in NH?

Serious answers are hard to come by with these three at times.

They enjoy annoying parkers it seems, and spreading the bunny and/or cockroach problem.

Did you know they were in charge of the weather in NH? Guess that makes them all part of Mother Natures plan :D

They enjoy building and making evil turf hunts and quests, that was the most printable answer of all.

What is it that you don’t enjoy quite so much?

All agreed on this one! The reports. Everyone has to write complete and readable reports. Everything they do as CTs has to be recorded and passed onto the world managers and each other.

What is it you would like the members of NH to know about you as CTs?

(I gotta tell you, these three are having problems concentrating on serious answers here!)

Basic translation of  their gabbing and nonsense is that they are still all the same avis they were when they came into NH, they haven’t become power hungry megalomaniac loons, since becoming CTs. They all still want to run around and enjoy NH the same as the rest of us do. They play games, decorate their turfs, borrow each others clothes, they hang out and chat, just like regular avis (who woulda thought it possible!).

So what kind of time investment are we talking here, if you are a ct?

Approximately 20 hours a week.

You must all be freaks to do this job and not get paid.

Nope, we love NH and we want to do what we can to make NH a better place to hang your virtual hat.

Do you get any training to become a ct?

Yes, you do, you receive all kinds of training! The training never stops!
