Sinterklaas has left NH

This week Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten came to NH much to the surprise of
many of you who had never heard of him. This weekends Sinterklaas event, to my knowledge
the first one ever in NH, was a great success thanks to all those who participated.
As you can tell from all the shoes we had a great many avies participate in our quest.
Two hundred and fourty eight avies handed in their shoes after receiving them
on completion of the quest and having had them engraved with their avie names.
A few avies missed the midnight Saturday deadline, which obviously is a great pity.

While I have your attention, I hope, I would like to thank a terrific team; Pebbles, Emmeau,
The Cat and Wings. I would also like to thank the staff who gave us a lot of lee-way
and helped us brainstorm to achieve all that you saw this past week, especially
Caretaker Snowflake who got to implement the quest I wrote and who stepped in
and filled Caretaker Passions shoes like a pro!

Thanks to all those who hosted this weekend, specially those hosts that got the team
names, it makes adding the scores up so much easier if we don't have to go searching for
team names to go with who won which place.
We would also like to thanks Julexis for painting the articles.
I hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed creating it, and taking part in it.
But... next year... the Belgians get to host this event.
For this year Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet have left NH.
