Current Quest November 15 - 16, 2008
Many a day and night he slumbers.
And yet many a day and night, he silently strides out when no one is looking.
He delights in pouncing on the citizens unawares and stealing the joy from their lives!
Ever we live in dread of him. Even when he is sleeping in his dark, hidden cave, he sends forth his minions to harass us at every opportunity.
We know he is laughing, laughing every moment at our helplessness.
But no more!
Through many dire adventures and Journeys, Marentius, King of Second Kingdom, has at last found the Beast's dank lair.
He waits there now, standing guard outside the sleeping Beast’s cave, and has sent word for us to join him so that we may all partake in the conquest, at last, of this vile fiend that has plagued our days.
He has requested that we bring with us a number of items that we will need in order to lock the beast up forever!
Go forth, brave Questors: find these items and bring them to the King.
The Thespians of the Second Kingdom will help you by providing you with a cage in which to lock the Beast once he is captured.
But do not approach the cave until you have found the other items that the King warns us we must bring, or you may be captured, yourself!
Each of the items will provide you with further clues to the location of the Beast.
Do not delay, and at all times be wary of the Beast’s minions, who will certainly also be lurking about!
The first item, essential to your success, will given to you at the Castle Tower East, where General Dorran will inform you where to find the next item.
Each item thereafter will contain a clue to guide you to the next clue. Some (not all) of the clues will provide you with an item. But all of them will contain a number. Write these numbers down! When you have found the last item, you will have learned where to look for the Beast's Lair, where King Marentius awaits you. There you will be able to use the information you have collected to gain entrance... but be careful! Hopefully he will be asleep and you will be able to catch him without getting caught, yourself!
